My life in Japan

Name:
Location: Chigasaki-shi, Kanagawa-ken, Japan

I'm a 32 year old SBF here in Japan teaching conversational english. One may ask, "What led to my decision to do this?" I would say that a variety of factors played a role in my decision, but I'm glad I made it. I'm a black girl found.....

February 8th

Typos.....I was reading through some of my blogs and realize that, omitting the slang, I have some misspellings or wrong word choices....forgive me.....I'll do spell check from now on...

I tried to make a correction at the end of the last blog....I'm not sure if my edits went through or not, but just in case it didn't, I meant to say that I would write before the week is out....lol

.......until next blog,

February 8, 2007-Thursday

....So I'm home right now watching the Super Bowl and doing laundry.....yes, I know it came on already in the states, I believe it was on here too, live, on Monday....and yes, I know who won, but I didn't get a chance to see it. So I'm doing that and washing clothes....the last week or two has been a bit tiring....I haven't been going to sleep at a decent hour so I've been sleepy throughout the day...I've also been working on one of my days off....tonight I will hopefully be in bed by 10:30pm...and next week, I'll be off on Wednesday and Thursday. Anyway, on Monday night I went to see India Arie. The concert was well worth the 7,000 yen I paid.....it was sooooooo good....At one point during the show, she had her mother come on the stage and sing with her....They sang, "Summertime," by Ms. Ella Fitzgerald. I was blown away.....I went with a friend of mine, and we were trippin' at how many Americans were there... Of course, since this is Japan, there were mostly Japanese people there, but there were a significant amount of foreigners as well. Superfly was the opening act.....I was going to go to China for my B-day, but since a friend of mine can't make it, I'm going to go to Hawaii, solo....it will be an adventure.....so the countdown to March 31st begins....

....Oh, I got hair extensions today....that's such a fancy way of saying hair weave.....as one of the teachers here, Kirby, would say, "If you can't achieve it, weave it!....or wig it" so I did....it will be little maintenance for about a month.....worth it...Well, I'm going to go now, but I'll write in here before the week's out.....

......until next blog
