My life in Japan

Name:
Location: Chigasaki-shi, Kanagawa-ken, Japan

I'm a 32 year old SBF here in Japan teaching conversational english. One may ask, "What led to my decision to do this?" I would say that a variety of factors played a role in my decision, but I'm glad I made it. I'm a black girl found.....

January 7, 2007-Monday
Okay.....so, Robert Dinero is Japanese......Let me just say that I was in a Voice session today with students, and one of them did one of theeeeeeeeeeee best Dinero impressions....I cracked up. He was so good. That was one of the better voices....My mother mailed me some of my Essence magazines and so I brought it to work....one of the articles was entitled, "How to Keep a Black Man from Cheating." I thought that was priceless and so I brought it to voice, and flipped it to, "How to Keep a Man from Cheating." There were some interesting ideas.....one of the more comedic ones was for a woman to not take soooo long doing her make-up. One of the gentleman confessed that it takes his wife one hour to just put on her make-up.....at first I thought he was talking about showering, washing her hair, etc, but when he said that was just for her face, I was like, "Wow, you have a good point...." He was like, "I'm all about time management!" Everyone had jokes in that voice.....One gentleman said if I ever heard of a magazine called, "Z." I was like, "No." Then I asked who it catered to....he said it catered to older people over 50 trying to be cool.....he didn't think that people should be concerned with clothing and looking good over 50....then I asked what "Z" stood for and someone in the room said, "Z end"....get it....I was crackin' up.....now I'm not hating on older people but that's funny..... well.....I just had to blog about that, so until next blog...........
