-Well, since Kids Training, I've had one group class and a couple of man to man classes or one on one classes with 9 year olds. It's been interesting to say the least. 9 year olds are the same no matter where you are....they're all extremely active, and in order to keep up with them, you have to have high energy....fun, fun, fun....In all realness, it's been good. The day I had the group class, I wore my afro puff, and when the class ended, I noticed that a couple of them were lingering around....when I finally decided to leave, they lined up behind me to get a feel for it....they laughed and was like, "ooo, so soft, wow!" It was really cute....
-On another note, I met Kevin, the missionary tonight....he emailed me yesterday in reference to Thanksgiving Dinner tonight...yes I know Thanksgiving is on Thursday, for all of those in the peanut gallery, however, my spirit has been cryyyyyyyyyiiiing out for some real fellowship with other believers...not just casual talk, but talking about the Lord. So I decided to go....It was a journey for real....It took me an hour to get home from work, so then in my train station I see another fellow NOVA teacher and I casually invite him...he didn't want to impose, but I was going to call Kevin to see if it was ok....anyway, my fellow colleague, Kirby, said another time so off I go....so, I get on the bus and there's a man who speaks english and he tells me where to get off....Unfortunately, the person that was supposed to meet me wasn't there, and I was in the middle of nowhere land....so I call Kevin back and he said he would send an older gentleman to get me, so after 20 minutes, I go into the Ramen shop across the street, and the older gentleman called me because he was lost...so he talks with the owner of the place and I wait another 20 minutes, so the guy calls me back, and it turns out I'm in the wrong town, but it's like right next door to the town I'm supposed to be in...anyway, him and this woman show up, and I was greeted by one of the most warmest persons I've ever met....It was crazy, while I was waiting for them, because I was thinking that maybe they didn't want to stop for me because I was black....it was crazy, and I was actually going to go home, but the Holy Spirit wouldn't let me....I knew I had to wait, so wait I did, and like I said when I me the both of them, I immediately knew the right decision had been made.
-Fast forward to the church....so I get there and I'm in the middle or toward the end of a brief message/altar call....so I sit down in the front, and two people prepared some food for me, which was yummy by the way...and then the lady who was in the car started talking to me again...her name was Etsuko....Now, I can be sensitive, but I have never been in someone's presence and by the mere presence of them I start to cry....except Jesus.....She started speaking to me and was soooooo warm, I started to cry....her spirit was just freakin' amazing....I'm tearing just thinking about it....and it all made sense.....her name means joy.....and when I tell you that the joy of the Lord was all over her, I'm not playin'.....now what made more sense is that she's from China actually, and my dream about China makes a little more sense.....for those that don't know of my dream about China, the dream was was definately figurative, but I woke up with this sentence in my spirit, "The oil is in China!" "The oil is in China!" Now, I had this dream before, it was broadcasted that China was buying up all the oil, literally....but I believe the dream was symbolic for the Holy Spirit, because oil represents the Holy Spirit....anyway, connecting with Etsuko was I believe one more piece of the puzzle. I have to get to China during my time here....
-Oh! I've talked about Jesus, and Etsuko, however, I didn't really talk about Kevin...he's cool. I see why he has such a heart for the Japanese people. There were other missionaries at the church as well....this one guy from Maine, his name escapes me, looks exactly like Dick Maisenbacher from Lakeland. That's for you Gwen...on another note, it's crazy how you can go half-way around the world to people of a totally different ethnicity and race and see folks that look like people you know...For instance, one of the little girls in my Kids Group Class looks just like my cousin Candace....she has her mannerisms too....I saw a lady that looks like my Aunt Sylvia....I was like, "God, you got ta be kiddin'" It's all too surreal. Well, time for me to go to bed, so, until next blog.........
