October 19, 2006-
-Well, I finally made it. I'm really here in Japan, and the jetlag is really kicking in now. I arrived yesterday at my apartment around 10pm, which was 9am EST in the states......My roommates weren't here yet so I used the time to start unloading my boxes.....I was full of energy. My roommates came in around midnight....Lindsey and Melissa....both American Citizens. Lindsey's from Florida and Melissa's from Cali, Sandiego to be exact. They've been extremely helpful in aiding me to get acclimated to Japanese life.

-I was supposed to go to the beach earlier, but it started getting dark around 5pm so I cancelled that. I figure, if I get lost, I would rather it be in the daylight. I did walk to the city office to get my certificate of alien registration and applied for my bank account today....it was a lot more walking than I'm used to....I'm glad I decided to be sensible in taking mostly comfortable shoes instead of my hoochy ones...LOL, I wouldn't get a block in those. Well, it's 6pm here and 6am back home and like I said earlier, jet lag is truly kicking in so I have to lay down....hopefully I can get some photos uploaded tomorrow.
